FIRE is going offline

We are sad to announce that we are taking the maliciousnetworks.org web site offline. As an academic project, we were glad to offer this information on malicious hosts and networks to help secure the Internet. Now that the people involved in the daily operation of FIRE have mostly left academia, we can no longer justify the effort required to maintain this site as well as we would like to.

FIRE technology lives on

While FIRE and the codebase implementing it have reached end-of-life, the ideas and research behind FIRE are living on, and are being brought to the next level by Lastline Inc., a security startup that is bringing our academic research to the market.
